Thread Name: Freedom of expression (for buskers)
Subject: RE: Freedom of expression
A South African songwriter called Jeremy Taylor, very popular in England, produced a song called "Jobsworth" in the seventies.

The chorus went:-

"Jobsworth, Jobsworth, it's more than my Jobsworth,
I don't care, rain or snow, whatever you want
The answer's 'no!'
I can keep you waiting four hours in the queue,
And if you don't like it
You know what you can do!

It sounds like you've been a victim of "Jobsworths"

The word has actually gone into the Oxford English dictionary, but you may not be familiar with it in the US.
