I was lucky enough to start hearing Jackie Washington late in his life but that was hard to tell on the radio. Stuart McLean had him on live shows of the Vinyl Cafe many times, and I envy all of you who heard him live and knew him personally. It always made me feel good to hear him. To sound so great into his eighties is instructive about living every day we get. RIP, Jackie.
