A hot English summer!

Surely we must Pimm.

The classic recipe is one measure of Pimms No 1, two measures of lemonade, one slice of lemon (round), one of orange, one of cucumber, a sprig of mint and maybe a couple of loose mint leaves, served over ice in a tumbler.

For today's sophisticated palates, I was wondering about reducing the sweetness and amount of the lemonade - or using something more sour and less sweet than say Schweppes or R. Whites.

Mabe leave the mint out of the glass, but make a really sour and tangy lemonade by blending 4 lemons and a big handful of lemon mint, then putting it in a heatproof jug, pouring boiling water over it then straining and popping in the fridge (or freezer if impatient) to get cold. This however will be a still lemonade (as well as very sour).

Thoughts?
