No, Don T, I mean that they don't even pay any attention to the parts they agree with in the post while they are reading it...if the poster is someone they want to have a fight with. They instead just pick through the post like a dog picking through a bowl of kibble for a few bits of meat, because they are only looking for something else they can fight about with that particular poster.

It's a form of selective blindness, driven by hostility and the desire to have an argument with someone.

I am not talking about people who honestly debate. I am talking about people who argue. There's a qualitative difference. ;-) An honest debate is driven by a desire to arrive at a better understanding of something. An argument is driven by a desire to do damage to someone, humiliate them, conquer them, and "win".
