He is much closer to Obama than many other Democratic senators.   But now we will see if the Democrats can really deal with a true "big tent".   You can bet that if Obama, with 60 Democratic senators, can't get a large portion of his agenda through, he will be pilloried mercilessly. But Democrats cover a wide range of the political spectrum. And senators must reflect their constituents' views.
