There is no news to match BBC News, and no current affairs program to match Panorama.
Dr Who was excellent for decades.
Monty Python was good for about 10 episodes.
The first few episodes of "East Enders" were groundbreaking.
NYPD Blue was good for a while too.
Oh, and Cracker (the UK version before the US emasculated a cloned version)
Open all Hours was excellent - as was "Porridge".
TW3 was also good.
