Well, CS, I'm rather partial to the local Sussex brew - Harveys - but the Senior Member (A, aged 80 and as fit as a flea) has several pints of Morland Speckled Hen 5 days a week after a full day gardening. There's always a guest beer, and I'm partial to the Cornish beer Doombar, when I can get it.

However, I sometimes have a malt or a brandy after the first pint or two. F - who has no taste - drinks Fosters, and I've been known to have a glass or two of light spritzer in hot weather.

P (a German lady) joins us occasionally with her dog, and has a small glass of cider with ice - which always looks tempting. The two Peters drink Harveys and Harveys respectively.

R's also a Harveys man but restricts himself to a pint after a recent (and successful) cancer operation.

N's a Guinness man - but he's quite young.
