Kitty litter is what we use in Labs.for absorbing chemical spills,and will probably remove any "free" oil thats just on the hairs. I would strongly suggest an aplication of VET, as anaesthesia may be necessary, anyone who has ever handled an irate cat( and survived) will know why it may be necessary to knock it out, then a good emulsifier like baby shampoo or very mild detergent and remember you cat wont be waterproof for days and therefoere may catch cold or pneumonia...Wfere is JenEllen when we need her?????
