Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire (Democrat) was finally declared the winner on a squeaker victory over Republican candidate Dino Rossi. Can't remember the exact number, but she won by something like 250 votes. Rossi dragged it through the courts, but after several recounts, she still won. As I recall, Rossi wanted to take it to court yet again, but they declare "Enough, already!" After several times in court, it was becoming obvious that Rossi and his supporters were just damned poor losers.

But it happened a lot quicker than Al Franken's being declared the winner.
