2 month ago an almost blind black tom-cat stood in front of our door on a rainy morning. Looked like a skeleton. We integrated this poor creature into our mixed family of actually 6 cats in total. In the meantime, in spite of doctor's visits, some "drugs" and expenses he's totally blind but this doesn't prevent him to play with our youngest kitty (estimated 8 weeks old) which appeared the same two weeks ago: crying in our garden when I went out to collect my cats late in the evening. She was so tiny (like a guinapig), hungry and helpless. It's a real pleasure to watch them playing now. I assume that's the beginning of a real friendship while our older cats are a little bit suspicious. But that's normal and I believe that they will accept this poor cat in the medium run. It's fantastic to observe how he reacts only being dependent upon his ears. Gives me a new insight on blindness. He knows exactly where to go, after doing this once or twice. He's a real darling.
