Everyone that I know who has tried to suggest traditional sea music for this event has received no encouragement from the sponsors.

No doubt there will be a brass band or two.

And just maybe there will be some parallel events. Try contacting the folks who coordinate the MIT sea music sessions on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
