These days I sing - largely unaccompanied trad and modern trad-style standards at clubs, sessions and singarounds - but also sometimes threaten to play the box, whistles and bones. All of them accomplished with quite dazzling mediocrity. Things with strings is another matter though. Never could get on with those, which is a shame.
Used to do the the fire-eating/fakir stuff at festivals, but the paraffin interfered too much with the bowels and I got fed up with finding tiny bits of broken glass everywhere...
Prior to that, a bit of busking with the box and a some hack band work around Norfolk and North Suffolk.
