I use that hard vegetable fat for pie crusts - as it's non-hydrogenated nowadays.
"Scrapple" makes me think of watching 'The Beverly Hillbillies' when I was a kid. They used to have all kinds of strange sounding foods. It was ancient when I watched it, but still made us laugh.
This fully Vegetarian foody Pub in Suffolk, looks quite fabulous: The Red Lion. Think I'll get my fella to take me there one day... Whole field Mushroom 'wellingtons' stuffed with pesto and mozarrella with a white wine sauce....
