I don't think Jell-O-shot art will ever replace Crop Art as a folk genre.

It's known as "crop art" in Minnesota, and is exhibited at the State Fair. Elsewhere, it's known as seed art while the term "crop art" is often used to mean crop circles (especially the more elaborate designs they have evolved into) and corn mazes.
