Thread Name: BS: folky singles dating ?
Subject: RE: BS: folky singles dating ?
I don't do pubs, bars, social clubs, church stuff or dating services. However, I do do Mudcat, and that's where I met Jacqui, my wife of 5 years.
It was in the forum, there was a thread on dating later in life , she said something intelligent and I responded. We communicated back and forth via PM and email and the next thing I knew I was burning my little black book. At my age, most of the names in it end with MD anyway.

I'm not going to say that all Mudcatters are above average in IQ, but I'll bet most of them are.

Some years ago some wise guy gave my name to a dating service and they bugged the hell out of me for months. I told them I wasn't interested but they kept calling from time to time.
Finally, one woman called and asked if I was seeing anyone. I thought, "None of your damn business" but I said "Yes, I am". she said "Oh is it serious?" I replied, "It will be if her husband finds out."

Never got another call.
