Think you nailed it Richard.. I tend to keep myself to myself at Folk get togethers... always have a laugh etc but don't flirt or make overtures to women..... not because I don't want to look desperate but basically because I am not that desperate. Being 'single' has a lot of benefits and as has already been mentioned... becoming a bit settled or set in ones ways takes some effort to change. Have many female friends and enjoy female company,... it would however take someone special... more than special to upset the 'status quo'.
