We used to, for years in the DC area, have a local outfit called Montgomery Doughnuts whose doughnuts put Dunkin's to shame, but alas, MoDo is no more (not even quasi). I believe their Rockville bakery where they were made had damage in a blizzard some years ago, and they never came back, but on the hole, their's was the better doughnut. I had some decent barley soup once in a Dunkin years ago.

I also bought doughnuts all around for those at my workplace there at Dunkin in Rockville on my way to work when my girl was born. Even if it had been a boy, too many people, including myself didn't smoke cigars....
