I started listening to traditional music in my carry cot at my dad's folk group sessions and rehearsals. And I have always sung - apparently I knew many rebel songs when I was three (don't know them any more sadly!).I don't sing for people any more - seem to have undergone some kond of crisis of confidence and can't remember the words. But I am working on it. And as for playing, I have a fiddle waiting for classes to start in September.
Hanging round the Mudcat has made me realise how much I don't know and I have learnt so much in the past few weeks. Although my first love will always be the "diddly diddly" stuff, there is so much more out there and I'm glad I found this place!!
