The few statements I've seen by Serge Hovey on tunes for Burns' songs didn't impress me very much. I still like James Dick's 'The Songs of Robert Burns', of which I have the reprint edition. I also have Prof. Kinsley's 3 vol. edition of Burns' Songs and Poems, but for songs and their tunes I haven't noted where it added anything of importance to Dick's work.
