I am the original owner of my 1989 HD-28 and the binding had come away from the body of the guitar in two different places at different times. Both times, I had the binding repaired by a certificated Martin technician near where I live and the entire bill was $0.

I have to agree with Bobert. Martin has been good to me as well.
