The rain mercifully held off until 15 minutes after I'd finished so the weather gods must like traditional music.

I didn't get to play Rodney's or the Trafalgar Hornpipe in the end as I had to support an outbreak of dancing below my feet with jigs and reels. But all the tune suggestions helped me plan the thing and gave me the confidence to get up there. And I did enjoy the hour enormously.

Should anyone else wish to have a go, it is still possible to apply though the odds against winning a place are getting bigger all the time.
