In those thrilling days of yesteryear, before teevee, we'd go to high school auditorium on Saturday mornings for a 15 cent spree that included a cowboy feature, a cartoon, popcorn, and something red and sticky to drink.

If you are ever in Gene Autry, Oklahoma (yeah, right) be sure to visit the Gene Autry Oklahoma Museum. I was pleasantly surprised when I visited. They have room after room of singing cowboy memorabilia. They have a film and music festival around Gene's birthday that sounds like fun. It's the week after Winfield so I've never gotten to go.
