I am seeking the lyrics of a song that featured on the BBC 1 North West series Ballad of the North West. This was in the canals episode called Narras and Flats which was broadcast on 17th July 1973.

The chorus to the song, which was about the Bridgewater Canal went something like this:

'So away you coal boats, away across the moss
From Astley Green to Worsley you're the skipper and the boss".

I have never been able to pin this one down and would welcome any pointers to where I might find out.
