The correct spelling is : whisky (as in Scotch)all other spellings are for Irish or American.

Also, the last words of verse three should read: Slainte mhath!, that makes it rhyme properly - and is the correct Scots Gaelic way of saying "cheers". The reply to slainte mhath is slainte mhor!
