Hi BruceD, The parody entitled "Creamsleeves" was composed by popular Australian folk trio, The Twiliters (Gregg Ferris, Jim Maguire, Kerry White) and was featured on their live album, c.1965 (and later became a single, I think .....)

If you put "Creamsleeves" into the search box on this site, you will find a number of thread discussions of the song's provenance - and the lyrics!



BTW, my Scouser partner sometimes comes out with an advertising jingle :
"What could be nicer, than a Pendleton's twicer" - but maybe that was a radio ad, rather than from an IC van???
