My Mothers family came from the music hall,silent picture (piano) and came to Scarboro as a Pierot on the beach shows, Uncle harry married Edie (Edith) Bayes, the Bayes were, and still are, rooted into the fishing community. my sister married into the Owenson family who, from 1896, were the Punch and Judy men in scarborough, the tradition was passed on to me twenty years ago althougfh I have never actually done it scarborough. My Fathers family were laterly farm labourers although we are decended from ughtred, one was knighted on the field of Agincourt and another was a Pirate and an associate of Drake. OOOps too much information. I did work in the bar of Golden Ball when I was a puppy and knew most (certainly all the dinking fisher families)of the fishing families.
