I don't want my government trying to be covert operators when everyone is watching and their not very good at it.
It is the federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, in concert with the federal Minister of Justice, that manages Canadian participation in extradition treaties and conventions. Any major decision should not be left up to a Justice from the Supreme Court of Ontario. Not the usual panel, but one Judge.
We have to remember that extradition is a much different animal than deportation!
