Jim played our Cartwheel club circa 1985. A great evening from the gentle giant. After the club we took him to a Sheffield takeaway where while we were waiting a few late night "tough guys" came in showing off in drink. I was worried that they might pick on Jim with his rather unusual appearance and his accent but none of it, he engaged them with charm and wit and we all had a great laugh.

It was the only time I met him but what a very nice guy.
