No doubt in my mind that the guy has some explaining to do. What bothers me about his extradition is the way in which it was done. I know we, as a country, have been trying to give him the boot for at least 10 years, and that Germany has been trying to get their hands on him for just as long. As a nation of "Law", I see no reason for our government to be above or below it. When there is an opportunity for a person to take an issue to a higher judicial body, and that opportunity is not made available(as opposed to it being denied)something is wrong! Remeber, he is a Canadian Citizen, and he deserved the right to appeal the extradition all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada. "Speaking at a snap hearing at the 361 University courthouse earlier this afternoon, Schreiber's counsel, Ed Greenspan, said the timing of the order was a deliberate attempt on the part of Federal Minister of Justice Rob Nicholson to ensure Schreiber's extradition will take place before he had a chance to file an application of judicial review." If Eddie says it, it must be true!
