I have been thinking about water costs myself recently so this thread is of interest to me.

I'm in Yorkshire and we're paying £32 a month for water for two of us and that is on a meter. One of my sons lives alone and that property does not have a meter and he pays £27.50 a month water rates. I did wonder if he should be getting a meter installed.

What you are paying is extortionate. I can understand that the water companies have costs to clean the water etc. but since it is a basic requirement for life it shouldn't cost more depending on where you live.
