Thread Name: Best ten songs of the 60's
Subject: RE: Best ten songs of the 60's
No way in heck I'm qualified to decide what the "best" songs of the sixties were. Nor is anyone else.

So I'll list the ten particular recorded performances that had the biggest effect on me personally, with the artist that recorded them:

Wildwood Flower: Joan Baez (Fred Hellerman on guitar, IIRC)

Four Rode By: Ian and Sylvia (but John Herald's guitar was what made it.)

Don't Think Twice, It's All Right: Bob Dylan.

Black Mountain Rag: Doc Watson (Yes, it's an instrumental, not a song. So sue me.)

Pack Up Your Sorrows: Mimi and Richard FariƱa.

With God on Our Side: Bob Dylan

Panama Limited: Tom Rush

Walk, Don't Run: The Ventures (see note to Black Mountain Rag, above)

El Paso: Marty Robbins (actually released in late '59, but peaked in the '60s.)

Tom Dooley: The Kingston Trio.
