Both books have their merits, but neither got it quite right.
Journeyman was Ewan at his most human (particularly the section about his youth). Class act was an outsider's-eye-view.
I made four pages of notes while reading Class Act - mostly of factual inaccuracies - almost as disappointingly axe-grinding as the review in Folk Song Journal.
