Does anyone know where the best sessions are? Especially the west end (student - you guessed it), I love Uisge Beatha and the Islay Inn, and I've heard tell that the Three judges (fantastic real ale on a rotation so there's always a new one to try), but other than that I'm not sure where to go, also I'm not sure where I can go that I'll feel welcome.

I went to a session in Uisge Beatha and there were just the old man folkie types with their fingers wedged firmly in their ears or playing some pipes rather loudly - here's me, a short english girl with a flute hoping to play some tunes. I've never felt so out of place before! I did play, but left swiftly after the first half.

Anyway, untill I get my Glasgow University folk club started I'd love to try out some of the other sessions places, and even maybe ask to have some of their regulars do a little stint (or be an honourary member of the club) at the club.

If anyone knows anywhere decent do give me a shout.

Thanks
Luvluv
