One column per field, e.g., name, performer, type
One row per item

If you have Microsoft Word
Create a table
One column per field, e.g., name, performer, type
One row per item

Actually any program that lets you organize data in a row/column/tabular format will do the job for a SIMPLE database.
Unfortunately, databases start out simple and get complicated quickly.
