I've just discovered Bert Sommers on youtube performing Jennifer. Wow! His angelic face coupled with a voice that is mild yet commanding is very powerful stuff. Learning of his involvement of the two most counter culture events in the 20th century, Woodstock and Hair, only to wither in relative obscurity resonates volumes to me. A superstar suppressed for what reason?
