The Manifold Valley Hotel at Hulme End, Derbyshire has a piano in the public bar. It used to be run by a landlord who had a PHd, specialising in the music of Duke Ellington. There was a sign on the piano which read;
'Parents;please encourage your children to play this piano. However, the following scale of charges apply, proceeds to charity;
