ah, I thought of suggesting the Wilmington. Some friends of mine have used it for rock gigs.

I've always wondered about Finsbury Town Hall, opposite the Wilmington. It's a beautiful old building, which recently re-opened for public use. Sadly, said public use appears to be only of the meeting-rooms, conferences, presentations, rehearsals, workshops type – rather than public performance.

But the Wilmington's a good venue. Some v good Turkish restaurants nearby it...
