Used to do Waldorf with pecans not walnuts (no grapes). Went off it.

Now I like

Galax apple chunks (small with peel on)
finely chopped celery
shredded mature cheddar
mayo
Wonderful on a fresh soft floured bap or eaten with leaves.

Maybe I will make deviled eggs

Hard-boiled eggs, sliced in half the long way
scoop out yolk, mash and mix with
mayonnaise, mustard, dill pickle relish (American kind)
spoon (or pipe if you want them to look pretty) mixture into halved eggs whites
sprinkle with paprika


The trouble is carrying them. Need to make a several layered egg carton like container.

Kind of fancying fresh banana bread (also made with pecans) too. So may bring a couple of loaves to share. Lovely slices warmed, melting butter and cup of coffee for breakfast.
