I'm tearing out my hair here- In the last few weeks I've been creating a document for a book(let) due to go to print by the middle of next month. Lots of research has gone into it and - the probable crux of the problem - lots of photos.

As of yesterday morning the document will not open. It is obviously still in the system because the length of it is given - more than 9000 words - but the screen is blank.

And now whenever I click on it in a vain effort to make it come up, it crashes and displays this message. "... has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience."

I called my provider but since it is software related they can't help.

I do have several versions of the document saved on the computer so all is not lost but none of the versions have all the photos I so painstakingly copied. All other Word documents load and display normally.

Any ideas? I just realized I haven't tried a System Restore- I'll do that next.
