Why is it that other prime ministers are no subject to the never-ending ridicule that Margaret Thatcher sees?
I can remember when the slums of London and the crime of Glasgow were among the worst in the world. When the UK school system was a laughing-stock. When unemployment was terrible and the economy was in the doldrums for long periods of time. When people in London died from breathing the smog. The Thames was a sewer. Yet the PM's in power during those times are forgiven and forgotten.
