Guest, Biff. I don't know whether you understand why your thread was deleted. (I am not connected with the admin people here; I'm just a guy trying to help you fathom the Mudcat policy.)

The following was just posted by Joe Offer. He's one of the 'bosses' hereabouts.


"You will notice that a couple of Guest-initiated threads questioning Mudcat editing policy were deleted today. They were deleted fro [sic.] two reasons:

1) We don't allow non-members to initiate threads unleass they are legitimate music threads

2) We generally don't allow threads discussing Mudcat editing policy, because too often there are reasons that don't allow us to answer such questions publicly. If you have a question about Mudcat editing, contact me or Max or Big Mick by personal message or e-mail.

Biff's thread was deleted because he asked for it to be deleted after it was read by a moderator.

That was from the thread that is now closed. I can understand the deletion of Biff's thread/post. I do NOT understand the closure of the thread from which I just copy/pasted the two things above.

I do not see how Biff will know WHY his threads/posts were deleted. And unless he understands, he'll think he's done something wrong. That said, I'm done.
