I'm going to cook my chickens in a wood smoking oven now instead of the chicken brick, Anthony and Lesley bought one this summer and it was brilliant so we've just ordered one as well. While we were in France half our plum tree fell down due to the bumper crop of fruit on it so I'll be stuffing the chickens with fresh herbs, lemon and garlic then smoking them over plum wood. I can do that on Thursday and Saturday and maybe leave the bread rolls and chocolate banana's for Saturday when I'll have more preparation time (we won't be arriving on Thursday until about 5pm) If anyone feels like picking some blackberries, there should be loads in the hedges around the field and also in Stonings Lane then I don't mind stewing them on the Thursday evening and we can have them with a couple of ready made flan cases and cream.
