I upgraded to the latest Firefox, thanks bobad, I thought I had the latest as I have it set for auto updates, but I found I was using a BETA version, to boot. I am running spybot and ad-aware, but also rebooted before that and have had google come up, finally! Didn't realise how much I rely on it for news, email, etc.:-)
