I felt sorry for him. Obviously he made a whopper of a mistake carrying a loaded gun into a nightclub but just as obviously, potential repercussions never entered his head.
He said he took the gun with him in order to protect himself; he said that even with bodyguards, if a gunman wants to "get you" he can. He said that a 'celebrity' is always a target.
His wife is due to deliver their baby in late November and he won't be there for the event; his eyes spilled over with tears as he said that breaks his heart.
This reminds me powerfully of the other thread- the Why Pack Heat one; it directly addresses the fear, rational or not, that some people feel in certain circumstances and the outcome of some measures taken against it.
