I never had any luck with women in Taming of the Shrew -- the second production I was in, which was much later, the Kate left two nights before the opening to take a professional job. We fought on and off stage too, but not on the same scale. She went on to be a wellknown Canadian actress -- I still hate her!!!! To have a really nice relationship with actresses in Shakespeare, you need Much Ado About Nothing, or the equivalent. I have always wanted to try out Macbeth/Lady Macbeth, though an actress I know who has done it says that it is very frustrating for women actresses since she only gets the sleepwalking scene in the last half of the play -- she sits around a lot.
