Very interesting to see the Swedish/Finnish origin/similarities.
I learned of the Finnskogen culture at Scandinavian music and dance
camp this summer. there were Finns who migrated to the Swedish and Norwegian forests in late 1500's to early 1600's and they burned the
trees down in places to clear the land for rye planting.

There is also another Swedish Finnish connection -- in an area of
Finland there is a place where they speak Swedish..i learned this
from the band Gjhallarhorn, who is named after the horn blown by
the gatekeeper god Heimdall to signify the beginning of Ragnarok.
