I'll keep you in my thoughts, John. As I drove home from the grocery store today, I kept wondering if it was my area that was burning. You can see the smoke from many miles away, but you can't tell where it is.

The fire in my area was relatively small, 275 acres, but it hit a housing tract that was almost completely destroyed. The fire started almost a mile away from the area of worst destruction. I still don't know if I have any friends who lost their houses. I think that's a phenomenon of rural areas - we see each other in town all the time, but never visit each others' houses and don't really know were people live; but yet we feel we know these people very well.
