I would have said 'The Manor' public house. This is on Walkergate and is situated across from The Civic Centre. They seem to have singarounds all day and night in the pub itself (sometimes two going off in different rooms/corners) and also in the covered yard out the back. I have found it to be a really welcoming venue for folkies over the years and it serves some good real ale.
