I picked up a heavy metal end table at my neighbors right before the garbage truck pulled onto our block. It's in the back of the pickup, and will remain there until I go by Goodwill. I am sure I could find a place to put it but that doesn't mean I need to find a place for it. But it is in good shape and someone else can use it. I didn't pick up the funky old Mr. Coffee or sewing machine, but too bad the metal, glass, and plastic can't be recycled, not buried in the landfill.

We have a long weekend coming up, and this month is when my side of our village gets the bulky waste pickup down at the curb (probably during the week next week). I should go take out some of the limbs in back and pile them at the curb, and this might be the best time, with the extra day off. If I leave branches piled in the yard for months it ends up with grass and weeds in it and is harder to move later. But this is just a thought.
