4. favorite authors/ type of book? I love to read, but I have a ton of books. So other than field guides from places different than Maine, natural history and local history, I'm all set in the book department.

6. what type of music do you like? Folk (duh!), hard rock, punk, some country, classical

7. what CDs have you really been wanting? Stuff by my secret santa would be cool.

9. what is your t-shirt size? Medium (unless highly shrinkable, then large would be preferable), must be cotton, as I am allergic to most synthetics.

10. do you collect anything? if so, what? Scenic postcards from around the world, field guides and other natural history books, silly, cheap, small wind-up toys, frogs and salamanders, maps/brochures of national or state parks and other landmarks

11. what are some of your other hobbies? Cross stitch, bird watching, writing, hiking, photography, videogaming

12. do you prefer gold-tone or silver-tone jewelry? Don't wear a whole lot of jewelry, but if I did, silver-tone.

13. please include anything else you feel is important that would help your Secret Santa know what you would like. I like chocolate, I prefer hand-made or locally-made to purchased or mass-produced. I love puzzles, brain teasers and trivia.

14. Remember that "negative hints" such as allergies might also be helpful. I have a lot of chemical sensitivities, so synthetic fibers and most lotions, soaps and candles are out, unless they are all-natural.
